Hey evybody i was wondering if anyone who is good with photoshop could help me visualize my project, I am going to make a radical hot rod out of my 48 chevy, or http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/begborrowandsteel/Mycar.bmp
I'm no good at photo shop, but if I where you, I would leave the body relatively stock, lower it something like 5 inches in the front, 3 in the back to give it a mean rake. clean and build up the straight 6 I assume your running with all the speed goodies, and go hoodless, build more of a hot rod rather than a custom.maybe add some dump tubes
This is my boss's 40 ford, kinda what i just described, A 48 Chev would probably look just as cool built in a similar fashion.
yepp.....I'm with RockabillyTim....and would like to add bright coloured rims (red, blue, grey!?, green, yellow...you get it..huh) with blackwall or wide whitewall tires...no trunkhandle, smooth hood, no shiny trim at all....mexican blankets or maybe a white tuck'n'roll interior...!?? Good luck and keep us posted......
This is a little curde. But what I might do is give it a mild anglechop say 2-3 inches down to about 1" in the rear. Then I'd drop it a ton and get it way down in the snout. Last but not least I'd loose thos little running board wannabees and all that garbage along the bottom , including the rear bumper etc. Oh and one other thing. If its gonna be a hotrod, loose tha inline, and put something stout in it. Big Cad (or little say 331) buick or olds. Maybe a poncho. if its gonna look like a hot rod make a hotrod out of it.
Forgive me...I know this is O/T...but what Photoshop tools did you use to do the mods. I am a novice at P/S 7 and have only started to understand it's features. I don't expect a tutorial, but the basic tools or menus you used would be appreciated. Thanks.
I think you should drop it almost to the ground, Chop it 4-5" smooth out inbetween the roof and the body so it flows better and throw on some whites. And you should keep the rims you have. PS, hows the transplant going?
Larry, check out the tutorials on these pages. Thats how I learned, only took a few chops and I consider myself semi proficent at choppin cars. I just grabbed a pic and followed along. http://www.photoshopjunkie.com/ http://www.photoshopchop.com/ http://www.digimods.co.uk/tutorials/tutorials.htm good luck
Thanks for all the ideas, ithink i'll take a little bit of each idea and combine it, I'm going to chop it, and slam it, go hoodless (for sure!) and the mexican blankets. but who knows i could change my mind any time!
