No damnit. I still get a Hot Rod hat or T-shirt once in awhile. But I'm not sure why any more than i know who has been paying my subscription for the last 7 years.
This is funny as hell because I came home today and the little brown envelope was on the counter and I thought "This must be a really cheap-*** hat" I pulled it out and laughed. There is no way in hell this fits my head. Did you read the tag? Supposedly 100% cotton, get that ****er wet and it wouldn't fit the 14 year old Nepali boy with the smallest head.....
Had the same experience recently with Hot Rod 3 yrs $25 and a free embrodered cap. Been 3 mo still no cap..
The same people must make the gimme hat for one of the sailboat rags as it is cheap an small too. But we still want the photo. You can make the kids, grandkid's or neighbor kid's day with it though.
And we get a Jeg's hat in every 3rd or 4th order.........I give em away on a regular basis.........Summit had a free razor in my last order.......I suppose that makes up for the "handling fee"......... Mark
There was a radio station being sued a few years back during the new star wars era. They said they where giving away a brand new toyota. Well some lady ended up winning the thing and she got a toy yoda from star wars. She was trying to sue the radio station for false advertising or something.
I got the hat, took one look at it and handed it to my 6 year old son. He loves it so much he won't wear it....he's afraid it will get ruined!! Ha!!! His Grandpa gave him the Hot Rod magazine clock which has come in handy to teach him to tell time on ****og clocks!!
Seems EVERY hat I've bought recently has been either flimsy and cheaply made, or wont fit. I don't have a big noggin either. I've been wearing the same Cintas made hat for 7 years now because it's the only one that fits worth a damn. I have a nice BALEIGH INDUSTRIAL hat I got in the mail, it fits good. Funny, I got a free NRA hat for renewing my membership. It has an embroidered American flag on the side and the tag says "made in china". The f'n NRA! WTF!
