Hi all. I own the Kenz Muffler dragster and I found something about it on her and kept reading. Its cool to see so many people with the same interest in the old race cars and its culture. Keep up the good work. Thanks

Welcome: Is that a front engine dragster? Please post a few pictures as I am sure there are a number of us that would love to see it. Your right this site as many car crazy people who just can't get old cars out of their system. Hope you enjoy this site as much as I do. Tons of great old stories and pictures to bring back wonderful old memories from a time when life just seemed so much more fun. Just the thoughts of an old man. Jimbo
I purchased the Kenz Muffler car about 1984. I lived in Leucadia, Ca. and was informed that a fed was for sale in Vista,Ca. I was doing some work on Ray Higley's funny car body and one of his crew members knew about it being for sale. The only thing I was told about the car was that it was built in the eatry sixties near East LA, Calif. I bought the car sight unseen and never met the person that sold it. Ron Beberniss did the transaction for me and delivered it also. Ron was helping Ray Higley with his AAFC car at that time. I raced it occasionally at Carlsbad (California) Raceway and only a few times at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, WI. (Late 80's and early 90's) I owned an engine shop in Green Bay, Wi. and didn't have much time to go racing for myself. The car sat in the shop most of the time and eventually was put into storage. I sold the car in the 90's to a customer of mine from Morthern Wisconsin. He had a Don Long ch***is and wanted this for his collection. He sold it a person in Upper Michigan and it eventually was sold to a person in Minnesota. He was the one that had it for sale on Ebay! There was quite a story about how it was finally sold and returned to California. It was purchased by a close friend of Kent Fuller. This person grew up near Kents shop....helping him with many projects! I was tracked down for the history of the car and eventually met the proud owner and his Son, Wade. I had been told the car was worth a lot because of its history....that was a few years after I had sold it. Kent Fuller's friend that bought the car has p***ed away now. His Son is the current owner of the Kenz Muffler Dragster! I have been to Famosa Raceway a few times and have always enjoyed seeing people like Kent and Evelyn Fuller while enjoying the Nostalgia car show and drag races! Thank you to Kent Fuller for all that you have done in helping preserve this piece of history. Long live the Kenz Muffler Dragster! From what I am told, there are many people helping reconstruct this great vehicle. Craig Durkee craiger13@juno.com
