I have a car door handle w/ keys(year, make unknown) that are stamped Industria Argentina. Probably ~early forties. Must be reproductions, correct?

Not necessarily. You don't say what make or model, but most American cars were built and sold in South America under license. You might have old stock from the South side.

Argentina built a lot of old American Cars down there. Kaiser was one. They had to have a certain percentage of local content so a lot of parts were local in manufacture.

Everything built in argentina, has to have Industria argentina on it, or did at least. all the manufacturers are governemnt owned or something lake that. Our '38 ford came from argentina and there's plenty of industria argentina stuff on it.

This is the door handle in-question. No idea of make or model. I appreciate the replies. Bruce

I am 100% sure! this is an early reproduction of a trunkhandle to a -40 ford coupe, it´s different from the original that has a cover over the lock that flips sideways.
