T-bucket project

    I'm doing a T-bucket project for school. I'm wanting to drop an LS6 in but need a tranny that would actually work. any suggestions

    t-56 out of a camaro or firebird.

    Or how about something more true to the hot rod style. get a caddy, buick, or hemi mill.

    Like an art project? Or an outline for a build that could really be done? Pretty much any GM RWD tranny will work like TH350, TH400, 2004r, 700r4, 4L60e, 4L80e, muncie, saginaw, tremec, uuuhhhh......oh yeah, powerglide. I'm pretty sure they can all be adapted to work if they didn't already come with the LS series engine.

    You're not actually building it, but the transmission has to actually work? It ain't adding up.

  9. He has to do a paper for school. I'm guessing he needs to come up with pricing and use parts that can be bought as opposed to someone's pipe dream. Unless his teacher is an old fart he isn't going to understand anything that he can't find in a modern magazine like Street Rodder etc.
