Don't do it. Fender well headers that is. I had a 65 Barracuda and with the inner fenderwells cut out for wheel well headers way too much stability was lost in the front of the body. Unless you plan to cage it and add front tubes from up near the front rad support and through the upper part of the firewall to tie it all together, you do not want to cut out your inner fenders.

On my Cuda the firewall flexed and made the master cylinder move and the front end twisted and flexed over bumps.

A better solution may be these guys. Tube Technologies. I'll post a link to a neat story where they installed TT ch***is headers with a small block in a 65 Cuda. My Cuda was a 340.

Yes I know you have an RB440, but check their website I think they make a really good ch***is header for your Dart too.

My Dart is carefully cut out in the rear of the front inner fenders for the Headers ,but no more than neccesary .I havent noticed any wabble in the frontend or instability and i've been 113-114 mph in the 1/4 many times.I added subconnectors though , so i dont know if woulda been a problem without them ....

Tjet - Not an uncommon occurrence I bet, some guy told me he tried beating the drum off of the front not knowing he had to remove the spindle nut.

354hemi - Brakes are next, going to replace the single pot with a dual but the drums are staying on the car.

Blue one - I understand what you are saying, like The Shocker as small of a cut out as possible. I want a wheel well header on the car.

Zerk - Yes reverse manual valve body 2500 converter.

Shocker - I am also sub frame connected but don't know that it matters on the inner fender thing, I do know you want to retain as much as possible.
