    You could have bought all four pickups plus the truck and trailer for less than a new Ford pickup cost now.

    Lets see new Ford "Bonus-Built" first F series, I bet you could have bought everything for less than $8k. But thats alot of cash for when you were only making $3k a year.

    I think back then a 1/2 ton was around $6 to $900

    My dad bought a '50 Ford pickup brand new for right around $1,500. He really wanted a GMC, but they were more like $2,700. He always said a Ford was half the pickup a GMC was, which was ok when it cost half as much, but later when Fords cost as much he said they were still half as much pickup, LOL.

    dang i'm getting old and blind didn't even see the 2 on the bottom. i want the coe and the trailer.
