low, high, chopped dropped, suicideaxle or springover. some pics would be helpfull. To help a homeboy decide what to do with his new t coupe thanks in advance drew
Here's one from Don't Hot Rod Page (http://donshotrodpage.net). I am head over heels in love with this car, I want my roadster to look like this someday. Here's another one with a great looking flatty; note that it's unchopped. Compare it to the one above.
Here is a really dark in progress pic of my 24 coupe- It was chopped the height of the lower windshield by the guy I bought it from. I got it in pieces and I am in the middle of building a new inner structure for it out of metal. I plan to post more pics as soon as I get the doors hung. Reece
here is a pic of the one I built last year. It was shortened 5 inches, chopped 5 inches and narrowed 2 inches. I also reshaped the bottem 3 inches of the body to fit on the 32 frame. Welded up the trunklid, reshaped and filled the roof, and added mdel a hinges and visor.
Does that blown one belong to Jeb McGregor of wichita Kansas? I seem to remember it from somewhere. rjb
Well, I dont have any real good pics of the roof work. What I did was filled it with a roof section for a 52 chevy 4 door. When I was pullen all the dents from the roof section, I overhammered it and made it a little more bowed that stock. To do this I would hammer on it while welding, it seemed to bow easier than while it was cold. I molded the 31 visor into the 52 roof so there was no transition. The shortening of the body was easy. I used 24 sedan doors and they wer shorter. The bottem of the car was gone so when I made it I gave it the same shape as the 24 bottem. Also included are some good pics of the all metal interior. Hopefully these pics work for you.
