Ok so like I said my name is mike and I live way down in the good 'ol bible belt where you need gills to breath because there is more water vapor in the air than oxygen but its really good for your skin cuz otherwise mine would dry out or something but my wife would kill me if she saw this insane run-on sentence I've constructed right here so I'll stop now Well now that I've gotten that out of the way, I'll give your eyes a break searching for periods. I live in Misssissippi. I hope I spelled that right. I have a '54 chevy p/u that I still have to pull out of my friends yard to get started on. I've been reading this forum and the jockey journal for a few years now. I've built a couple bikes and I really miss my '61 bel air, but now that I have a real job I'm trying to move up to some real projects. Finishing up a '79 xs650 chop so I can ride it, sell it, and get something better... and about to start on that '54 this winter. Well enough rambling already. Thanks for having such a great site! Wanted to add some pics of projects... This is my '54 chevy project... it is just the '54 body setting on top of an 80's s10 frame as soon as I get this bike on the road, I'll be able to get started on the '54 -mike
Mike, Welcome to the H.A.M.B. ..............from Arkansas City, KS. By the way you misspelled Mississippi, one too many s, my fingers stutter every once in awhile also, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks for the Intro, it really is appreciated. What kind of 650 ? Good Luck with your projects and enjoy the H.A.M.B. firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
Umm. You never really did confirm that your addiction was to cars, if it is, good to have you, if not, good luck.
Actually my addiction centers mostly around the 2 wheeled variety. I've spent the past 2 years of my life managing a bicycle shop and racing mountain bikes. I got married this summer and got a real job in mechanical engineering (what my degree is in) and now my focus is much more on traditionally styled motorbikes and cars/trucks.
Welcome from SoCal, Mike. I hope for your sake you didn't come here to get cured of your addiction. All you'll find here is a bunch of enablers.
I'm a member of that forum as well, but I'm not allowed to post anything about my lowly japanese model bike.
