I talked with George Callaway this morning, and the lake is a lake. weather is in the 70's so the race may still be on, it may dry out. keep your fingers crossed!

Tiny says there is water on the lakebed (landracing.com). I think the meet will depend on whether we get more rain or not. Hopefully it will dry up before Sunday. Nothing on the SCTA site so far.

Right now its not looking too good. If we don't get any more rain and a lot of wind and sun it might just happen. Its one of those things Lance. Don't worry Nov. will be on us before we know it.

i hate to be a pessimist but if it rains half as hard as it has been down here in south orange county at el mirage i think our good ol lake bed could be confused with a part of the pacific ocean.

I told you guys.. It's supposed to rain the rest of the week and it's already flooded now. Chances of it drying out are slim to none. Just gonna have to wait till November and hope for good weather.

As John Noonan just posted on landracing. "The fat lady is warming up. Tomorrow she sings".

Maybe this rain will give us something besides crap to run on.

I dont think it will dry out in 3 weeks (Nov meet) but it does need the rain to fix the lake bed

Just posted on landracing that the meet and the Sat. clean up is called due to "excessive mud". This is from Glen Barrett quoting Jim Dunn.

There's an email going around that the meet still has NOT been officially cancelled by an actual SCTA official.

See you all next month, 11/14-15. A two day event.

Although it is discouraging for those who had planned to attend, the lake desperately needs moisture. Hope for Nov.

We can hope and pray that the lakebed will be better. So long as some 4WD dick doesn't get out on it.

Got this photo off of landracing. I'm thinking of pulling the wheels off the sidecar and putting an outboard engine on.

  30. Here's the email I got.

    Hi Everyone,
The Oct El Mirage meet has officially been cancelled due to large amounts of water on the lake. The notice has been posted on the SCTA web site and is on the SCTA Office phone message.
