Greetings H.A.M.B.er's, I am currently stationed in Port Hueneme, CA with a '52 Oldsmobile 88 4 door and a '52 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton pick-up currently sitting in storage while I'm deployed to Afghanistan. I've had my Chevy for over 6 years now and just purchased the Olds in Dec '09. My Chevy is mostly done, it's been my daily driver since I bought her. All she needs now is some body work, a paint job and the interior. I will also be lowering her with a drop front axle and lowering blocks in the rear and frenching the headlights. I am still looking for a set of U-bolts for my rear end lowering blocks. Mooneyes sells the lowering blocks, but they don't have U-bolts and I have been hard pressed to find them (didn't help that I was in Hawaii for the last 3 years where hot rodding parts are scarce and/or ridiculously expensive to say the least). I bought my Olds in an almost complete state. She had been put on bags and had the rear door handles and most of the emblems shaved. My plans for the Olds include about a 3 inch chop in the front, suicide door conversion for the rear doors and I am contemplating a custom grille (I love the stock grille, maybe just a little mod to that). I am always up for suggestions, hints, help or whatnot. I try and do as much of the work on my babies that I can, but I'm not too proud to say that my talent/knowledge/expertise is lacking in many areas. With that said if anyone knows a good fabrication shop in SoCal that can do a good chop on my Oldsmobile I'd appreciate any info. I lack both the time and the expertise to perform a chop at this time. I hope to learn alot from this site, Johnny
