ok i have had hagertys for a few years now. I just got a different ride but have some questions. they ask me to vakue this ride well its chopped sectioned and channeled, bed bobbed. they want to know how much it cost to do this ? it is a 1937 ford truck. I have no idea? does any body here know !
Ken, the cost to build something and the cost to buy it finished are two very different things. As an appraiser for both Hagerty and Grundy, my suggestion is to get an evaluation appraisal for it's value. An appraisal would cost between $100-$250.
no appraisal is required they just want to know how much it would cost to build this truck. was looking for a good guesse. I have it insured for 13grand but they think it might be worth more. what does it cost to chop a truck top? then section it. I could throw a number out there.
I believe with the Agreed Value coverage you can insure it up to 6ok with no appraisal, may vary state to state, its just a matter of how much you want to pay. When I was shopping around I was amazed at how little your rates go up by increasing your coverage 5-1ok. Nice to have a little extra if you need it, but wouldn't be a bad idea to have it appraised.
