Here is my story. Back about 4 years ago I came across a deal on a 33 Ford 3 windo for $3000. I made a deal with the guy sellin it. On the day of the sale he changed his mind, and deceided to jack the price up by another $3000. Well I didn't have the money, so I had to leave. On my way home I spotted a Honda DelSol for sale. It had light frontend damage on it. (so the salesman told me..) I bought it took it home, and started to take it apart. Long story short.. I found out the frame was bent some, and none of the panels alined. Well 3 years later after getting all of the work done, I now put it in car shows. I have a show in march where I am going to sell it. I want to go back to where I started. I want to get a 1928-1931 Ford Tudor, and build a woodie. I could be like the others that have there cars that all look alike, but I think I would like something that I designed myself. I like old school in a ways, like a rake to the car. Where a dropped front axle was used. The car can be chopped, but it doesn't have to be. Use a V-6 in sted of a small block. If I could figure out a flathead, I would run that.. This is my story.. What would you like to see?? I have pictures of the car I have now, but I don't think that you want to see a 93 Honda DelSol Si.. Though I am almost done with it. I am going to put it in the World of Wheels car show in another month. I would like to sell it there so That I can find a 28-31 Ford Tudor. If the body is junk, I plan to make a woodie from it.

  6. Hey ya Al. Lets ditch the V6 idea and move ahead with those flathead thoughts. They aint that tough to figure out. Especially with all the knowledge around here...

    Welcome,

    Tim

I would like to learn more about flatheads, though I would still have to run an automatic. I have arthritis in my knees. Where I live there are alot of hills. I wouldn't like to have to shift on a hill, and have my knee pop out again.. Do they make an adapter to say a powerglide?? I know that there is someplace that has a catalog for the flathead, but I can't remember the name..

welcome Al If you want to run a Flathead with an auto there are adaptors. If you want to run a 6 an inline looks good too. Lots of good information on here.

Good. I don't want to run a 350 small block. I don't like being like one of the sheep. I know that I want either a 28-32. A tudor 28-31, or a coupe up to 32. I would like to build one like I saw in a California Car Cover sheet that came in the mail. I think it had Dayton wheels on it. I like the wheels that still had the wires, with the little hub cap. I also want the slite rake that came from the 15's in the rear, and the 14's in the front. It can be chopped, but it doesn't have to be.. If I find a tudor that the body isn't all that good, I'll wack off the the body just before the front door, and build a woodie.
