thinking a bit down the road... I'd like to find a heater valve control cable that will also turn on the fan. Both functions with one knob. Anyone know of such a thing is available? Examples?

You might not want that. At max temp, would you always want full blow?

You could find a knob that had pull and twist, speed on the twist and pull for the valve.

Use a headlight/dimmer control. The dimmer controls the flow of water to the heater via an electric valve control. The headlight provides two or three fan speeds. You can also reverse it to get infinite fan speed control.

63-67 Corvette. Don't know if they are repopping these or not. Last one I bought I had to get for an AC car as that is all that GM had left.

I think my 66 f250 has a switch like that for the heater, pull it out for the temp and twist it for the heater motor. You will still need a control vavve at the other end of the cable to control the coolant flow through the core.

Vintage Air sells the cable you are looking for.You pull the cable for heat and turn the knob for fan speeds. They also sell the valve separate too.

Funny, I was just looking for one this AM.

Here's what I'm looking at from Vintage Air, they're about $90 on the street.
