Hey everyone! Been lurking for a very long time and thought I might as well join. Even though my car isn't quite old enough or radical enough (will be later, money permitting ) I wanted to be able to comment on all the amazing builds you guys are putting out. I drive a 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe. 42k miles, Cream with Light Champagne interior. 400ci motor with K&N filter, slowly removing all the smog stuff and hopefully new exhaust soon so she can breathe! Eventually might swap in a 460 but I want to learn more first. This is my first car -- I don't get my license till December 1st! Car during its 15 year slumber Car now (after far too long than should be legal with Nevr-Dull, a buffing wheel, rubbing compound, and wax)
Well that's a little new for this site, but have fun with it! I actually think that would be coolest stock looking, not radical. Spend all your money on that 460!
Greetings from Wisconsin............Nice car......Take a lot of pictures with you by the car.....Your first car at sixteen is priceless....There will be many more cars ahead for you so....welcome aboard fellow HAMBER and enjoy the ride......Big Bad John
Welcome to the H.A.M.B...............from Arkansas City, KS. don't let the 1st car get away from you, it looks as though it is in primo condition, with care and upkeep, plus low mileage...................it could remain in this state for a long time. You will gradually wander over into the more H.A.M.B. Friendly cars, but you will still have your very first car. Keep it !..............Have a good time on the H.A.M.B. firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
Cool ride for a first car. Hang some purple fuzzy dice from the mirror and call it done. Welcome from Greensboro
Welcome! For some good ideas check out Rik Hoving's collection of photos, especially the 70s & 80s Lowrider/Custom shows. You can get a lot of old school kustom ideas from those pictures (expanded metal bullet grilles, bullets on headlight doors, lakers, spot lights, etc)
