****** Knuckles, hey man stumbled onto this thread as I was looking for interior parts for my 51. My "done" trunk photos are so old they are polaroids. Back 20 years ago my trunk was all black carpet with walls made up and embroidered stuff all over in it. But, so many people forget about the deck lid. (I dig what Barefoot's did to his lid) So many people just paint them (even over the insulation) and call it done. Will see about scanning some old shots and post some new ones here when I get done with redoing the trunk! Lada (better late than never!)

Here's the trunk of my '39. Pretty simple but clean. Please don't make fun of my "Trunk-Wow" holding it up. I'm going to put the supports in there one of these days...:D

I must be in the minority WRT trunks.
While I don't challenge the neatness of paneled/upholstered trunks, part of why I like vintage iron is the sheer size of them. Working on my '59 Buick, if I were to panel off the trunk to where I lose a foot or so on either side, I loose that gee-whiz factor of a '4-body trunk'. Just seems strange to me; when expecting a cavity based on the rear clip size, instead it's 2/3rds the size of that.

I intend to splatter paint the interior and lay carpet/mat in the bottom, but leave everything exposed otherwise. Whatever I ultimately do, I'll always keep an eye on maximum size. That's just me.
