I haven't been on the HAMB too much since the changeover...getting the new shop lined out and getting settled has been taking a lot of time, and without internet access just yet, I find that I get more done. Who woulda thunk it? So I guess you could just call this an update of sorts...Big Ric called today and it reminded me that I've kinda been out of the loop.

Today, your pal and mine, Honest Charley took his Pick-up that he started on 7 years ago for its maiden voyage. It's got a 235 Inline 6 in it with Wayne valve cover and side cover, and a super-rare Tattersfield "Waterfall" intake with two "gl*** bowl" Holleys on it. Here's a peek at the motor...it's hooked to a Saginaw 4 speed...and it sounds like a John Deere tractor on crack...

The cab is channeled a ****load, and the bed still needs to be dropped down to match. This is a quick photoshopped picture of the bed lowered and running boards added.

Here's Charley adjusting the muffler bearings after taking it out for a spin:

I also managed to get my Triumph project up on both axles this weekend, so now it's at the point where it's a roller, and most of the fab work is done now. Just need to tie up the loose ends and get it running before blowing it apart for paint/ chrome...hopefully before the Roundup. I had a vision of what the paint needs to look like this weekend...I think it's going to be *****in, but we'll see.

The rear fender bracket started life as a '23 T headlight bracket.

I kind of like this picture:

Building bikes is hard. I probably spend more time staring at it and thinking about what I want to do than actually doing it.

And I've actually had a chance to get the ol' paintbrushes out lately and whipped a few small canvases out...these three are all One-shot on canvas.

I'll probably be putting the artwork in the cl***ifieds, so if you see something you like, send me a PM (sorry for the spam.)

Anyway, thanks for looking, and I'll see you at the Roundup...

    End transmission. :)

i am glad you are using that tire. I was saving that pair for a 68 Harley. Dry rot means nothing unless it is really severe.

I thought that Honest Charlie used that name for the same reason that used car salesmen did. I kept my dog away from him and never let him know where I live. :D then I met his son..................
