Does anyone have info and pics on the ultra truck. I think it was also called the orange hauler. I have found a few pics of it. Is it still around?

bringing this old one back up!!
this months rod and custom (january 2011) has a how to bubble top article with starbird.
the vehicle they are putting a new bubble on is a very used and beat ultra truck!!
not one mention in the article about its restoration(?) or where it was found , or the current plans.

from the photos I can see that it has been retro fitted with a sbc-no more nailhead.
and a 59 chevy instrument cluster has been installed.
it is kinda beat up, but looks to be mostly there.

Somewhere I read that it had been found in reno or vegas a few years back. but nothing else.

    anyone have any info?

The Ultra Truck Or Orange Hauler is still around today, John Lionell owns it and it is being restored as I write by Darry Starbird. See the October Rod & Custom there is pictures of it being restored. For more go to www.public.fotki.com/rikster to **** Fuzzy Fuerholzer historic photos and there are photos of it started at Trend Automotive and finishing it up at Starbirds as he took it over from Dave Puhl. Thanks
