THAT B-17 is supposedly the "lowest-time" B-17 in existence. The story of how it was aquired and how it "arrived" at that location is well worth the time to research it. DD
Sorry to Hi-Jack the thread, is the B-17 gas station still around ??? Where is/was it ??? Thanks, ScottV
Looks like the LACY LADY in Milwaukie,OREGON that was flown in to that location when the road was in the middle of nowhere, now its a major road,Art Lacy said that while the city was havin a meetin at the grange about the plane he brought it in and had ot there before anybody knew........he was a cool old guy and some great stories, the official story is a bit different but this is what Art told me.......its still there and open but only as a resturant, funny thing it has two stude motors on one side and twp pratt & Whitneys on the other,it never made it over seas.yeah its still open.thebomber.com

1) What are the general capital requirements, and other requirements to open: a) a franchised station. b) an independent station. NOW, not then. 2) What general profit margin are we looking at? How much can you buy the gas for?
Kool. Good to see em again even if your sense of humor is misunderstood. There is a *****in post here with tons of old fillin station pics. Great inspiration for a backyard garage facelift. Thanks.
