I am looking for the wire end connectors to wire my own light bulb sockets but all I seem able to find is the light bulb socket itself with the tail piece. Anyone knows where I can get the little end connector by iteself...will rather a walk-in place near Los Angeles....just cause I am not sure how many I may need. This will be my first electrical job ever.

Looking for the small contacts that are on the end of the wire, that touch the bulb?

Geez, there was a thread about that part just this summer, but I can't think of any keyword to do a search that will work.

That was my thread, I feel your pain brother! I ended up buying them from a shop suggested in that thread (www.riwire.com), with shipping from Rhode Island to Oregon it cost me $11 for 25 of them. But I searched high and low for them around Portland and even for rivets that would work as an alternative with no luck, so $11 ended up being cheaper than the h***le finding them was.

The results turned out much better than cheesy and expensive replacement sockets that I would have to splice on.

Your local NAPA SHOULD stock them. You get the pigtail (about five inches of wire) the fiber washer and the spring.

I got something similar from napa when I changed out the sockets in my tail lights from a single element bulb to a dual element bulb so I could have brake lights that were originally just marker lights.

That finished result looks nice. I've seen the one with the pig tails at Napa but I don't want to use them. I want to use the clothed wire to give it a more old school look and the pigtails just dont work right with it. The sockets on my old harness look great and much better than the repop stuff.

I just found YnZ yesterdays parts not so far from my house and they carry all of that old school stuff...I might be visiting them next week.

Here is their catalog if anyone is interested....those wire end caps for the sockets are only 25 cents ea. not bad!!! and they carry a bunch of other cool stuff (like the 6v bulbs for my spot lights)

you can strip the end of the wire about 3/8" push it through the fiber washer spread the wires out and then give them a twist put a blob of solder on it. file or trim with snips.

UV, as in black-light? Those are just regular white LED bulbs on mine, but you have me very intrigued, I'd love to see your set-up.
