Just picked up a 53 Ford flat head. Would like to use a chevy t-5 behind it or my 67 chevy 4 speed. What do I need for a bell housing etc. and where might I go to get the best prices. Open for any Ideas???

You need an early 50's Ford truck Bell housing and an adapter from Offenhouser or Speedway to make the connection...d32

Vergil , That's is one sweet looking set up you have ! If the engine and trans is that nice , what's the truck look like ?

As for the flathead/trans question , the T-5 is a great trans and will save you some gas on the highway too , but there is nothing like banging some gears on a 4 speed trans !

Thanks Jim, the pickup is still in epoxy primer (wanted to drive it this summer) so still need to take it all back apart for body work and paint. Still like to bang the gears but not near as hard as I used too.

I am the one who should be saying WOW you have a very, very nice build going there, know what you mean on wanting to drive them a little instead of working on them all the time.

Sorry, didn't mean to get off topic thread.
