That rear section looks really nice. Can you take pictures of where the bars bolt into the frame. I'd like to look at that. Rey
Wow, nice work on the frame above the axle! I'm glad you kept the "top hat" shape, and that graceful curve instead of hard angles. I know that took some extra time, but it a detail that really pays off!!! Are you gonna run a panhard bar or something? I second the vote for wanting to see how things bolt up at the front of the rear suspension.
here are some pics of how the 2-link bars attach to the frame. i will be running a pan hard bar to keep the axle from moving from side to side.
Now that's some serious work, it looks great, the stance is gonna be killer. Are those Mehelich wheels you're running?
What kit did you use for the independent front end? Weld in or bolt in? It lowers the front nicely. Are you going to chop the car or not?
Great work, I have a 54 hardtop, very rough, I was trying to sell, missing many parts, might just keep it after seeing your work.Looks like a lot of work done very well.Really like the over all lines and stance.
Right on...Looks like you've got a good start. Is that your garage? I used to live in GR (2 years ago), and that looks like one of my friend's shop.
Nice stance, the car is looking good. I was wondering the same thing on the wheels, they do look like late model s-10 wheels? They look cool either way. Keep us posted on your progress. Jonney
To answer a couple questions, the wheels that are on the car are late model S-10 stockers, Im just using them to get everthing set up. The IFS kit that I used is from Speedway Motors. I modified it to get it to sit the front as low as it does. I raised the X member 3 inches and if you notice in the pics of the front end a piece of 2x3 weld to the top of the frame with the upper spring cups welded to that to keep the geometery of the suspension correct. The garage that I am working on the car in is a buddy of mine Jake Moomey.
