Since my car didn't sell and things got a little more calm financially im making some changes to the hotrod. Wondering if i could get some opinions though. Currently i have some Packard Mayfair taillights. Thinking of changing some things up. The biggest issue is i don't have any depth to work with. maybe about an inch so flush mount is a must. Ive looked at some of the 50's Pontiac but only the led ones are flush mount and i cant find any that look right. The other option was mounting some model a taillights off the upper corners to fit with the curve. Does anyone have any suggestions of what i could use or where to mount.
i would mount model A ford tail lights on some brackets off the side of the box , much like Ford did on pickups
2X on the A-Ford lights with brackets off the side of the bed. What's all that white stuff on the ground?
Well, i tried to mock something up. if i go that route im gonna have to make my own bracket and its going to be tight or its going to stick out far. I saw littleman had something like that on his pickup. Is it an issue if they are mounted up on the bed close to the body or do they need to be at the outter most part of the car. They would be about 12" from the edge of the bed. I saw these mounts in my searching. They are on a speedster mounted over the axle. 64 dodge, we haven't had snow yet, that's an old picture.
Or below it right in line with the shocks when viewed from behind. Simple, not expensive and with some bright bulbs guys behind you should be able to see the lights fine.
there is a slim line bulb that fits an 1157 socket. my model a tailgate has chevy tail light frenched in 1/4 inch with 1/2 inch of space. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=447688
