I have an old Ford part, looks similar to the radiator apron below a model A radiator, but different. Has tag on it with part number 1GA-8240. Any ideas what it might fit? Thanks!

  2. According to the Green Bible the part is "Shield (radiator grill to cross member)". The rest of the story is that it fits 1941 6 cylinder p***enger car. I am sure there is someone out there looking for one of these. When you finally find him there will be two very happy people in this world, you to get rid of it and him to find it.

thanks, Charlie. The rest of the story is that I picked up 4 of them, NOS, at an auction for ten bucks. O well, they'll make good floor patches, if nobody needs them...

geez...NOS??? Get on any Model A restorer's forum and figure out how to advertise them - you'll pocket some cash, and perhaps make a friend who can lead you to some parts you WILL like.
