1950 Ford Gas door - is it factory or afternarket

  1. Is this 1950 Ford Gas Door authentic, I really dont like it so if anyone has Gas Door for sale let me know.

    I've never seen that. Ask over at shoeboxford.com if the owner has any laying around.

    Well, it's in the correct location, but the flap looks modified......are those louvers ??

    It looks like the one I had on my car. Being a different color makes it look strange, but it is the correct one. The bumps were added and look wrong.

    The original ones did not have the pattern in them, they were smooth.

    its an aftermarket replacement door, common 50's dress up piece from JC Whitney , Pep Boy's, etc..
    your stone shield on the front fender and vent shades on your doors may be from the same supplier.

    That looks like someones cheap attempt to make a gas door instead of spending some money and getting the correct one !
    Doesn't look like the one that's on my 50 Ford !
