I have a 1954 Chevy 210 Post Car that I am swapping the frame on. I dont have a lift and need help on how to brace the body up off the existing frame to slide the new frame underneith it? Never done this before, so I am a little iffy without a lift.

One possibility.......First, remove the front 'clip' (front end sheet metal), then raise the car, by the ch***is, with a floor jack and use jack stands and or 'cribbing' until you get the ch***is bottom about two feet (or more) off the ground.

Then, making absolutely certain you have ALL body bolts, rear wheels/tires, wiring, steering column etc. loose or removed, support the body along the rocker sills, using boards lengthwise to spread the load the length of the sill, and lower the ch***is with the floor jack, alternating front to rear 6" to 10" or so at a time, until the ch***is is clear of the body. If you have something like furniture dollies under the ch***is you can drag it out from under the body.

Reverse the process to install new ch***is.......***uming it is like kind (i.e. also a '53/'54 Chev ch***is.
