Greasepit misfits invade nursing home

Inside most old people is a teenager struggling to get out. Alot of the car shows in my area have a parade past the care homes.

 

Cool move tirezan1...We did a run like that a few years back.. Very rewarding way to spend an afternoon.

 

we had one in July that I attended in our town, I am almost 70
and drove my 52, I was still recovering from chemo and had
to use a cane to get around, some got a kick out of me driving my car with the four speed there. great time for all

Good job folks, I have done a couple of these and it is a good feeling listening to stories of these residents. And these things don't happen often, life gets real boring for these folks. Damn proud of ya. ~Sololobo~

 

Another twist on this that I've been trying to get started in the Atlanta area is to setup a sign up sheet at a local senior facility, show up on a week night with a hand full of rods, and take some of the residents out for a half hour spin in ond of the cars from their youth. They've got to get a kick out of riding shotgun in one of the cars that they first learned to drive in, or had their first back seat experience in, ......
