Are you supposed to put some kind of frame strip on a car frame before putting the body on it, to act as a small barrier so metal is not rubbing on metal?
The original item called body-to-frame webbing, an asphalt-soaked jute woven belting available from virtually every early Ford supplier, often numbered B-5000-R, usually a 20-30 foot roll measuring 1/8"-3/16" thick X 2.5" or 3" wide.
