I know this might get alot of bad replies ,But anyone running lake style pipes on fibergl*** roadsters ,Without turn outs.
My experiance of not using turn outs is that a gets a little g***y (read that pukey) at traffic lights.
Maybe he`s talking about where they angle up the body of the car and stop above the rear tire. Never figured out they get out without burn`in yourself. Unless they only run them on one side. Careful hangin your arm out of the car.**** William`s 27 T had them ,53 AMBR Winner.
I have a gl*** '32 roadster and I plan on doing mine with baffles made from a cut down gl***pack.I didn't want to run a exhaust system under the car so I did some research on here and figured it was the most economical way to do my exhaust. I plan on using turnouts mostly to keep the exhaust aimed away from the car. From what I learned, the exhaust is bad when your in traffic(the smell and your eyes burning) and your clothes smell like exhaust after driving for any distance.
Side pipes of any kind can be a nuisence, hot, catch on curbing, etc. Turn outs on hotrod side headers are a must. -IMO- ~Sololobo~
