Thanks to all that came out. We had a blast putting on the race and we hope you all had a ball being there and racing. I can still smell the tires and race fuel!!! We had a bigger turn out than last year with a fleet of front engined dragsters that showed up to run and lots more hot rods and customs making p***es. Thats what its all about, putting your ride on the track and having a ball. Cant wait for next year!. I was so busy racing all day that I did'nt shoot any pictures, but man, did I have a blast..... I left 1/2 of my Firestones in the burnout box though.....
Gary Moore is one cool mofo. And that Topo was the fastest and baddest sounding ****er there. Mid 5's all day long in 90 degree heat...
Thanks to both you and Melissa for having this great event for us to enjoy. Great cars and great friends makes for a super event.
Yeah we had a ball! My car launched hard, and felt strong, but actually ran out of gas at mid track...I just needed one more weekend on it I guess! We had fun building it, and running it though, and in the end...that's what it's about! Here is MBL in it... Luckily...our clubmate Ralph, had one of the fastest cars out there to bail us out! 5:85 at 119.96 the first run...and around that all day... Vince's AWB '64 Valiant looked sweet! It was the orange one with the straight axle last year...he did a LOT of work on it since then! It inspired me to buy a '64 Valiant of my own...but it is all apart for bodywork right now....
My Son Tim and I had a ball running our mini bikes, even if he did beat me every run. But getting our picture not one but three times on the Billetproof site - priceless. Thanks Alan, it was great. See ya in April. Lee
Thanks Alan, looked forward to it all year, and can't wait until next year! Maybe my "mini" will grow up a little for next year so you can take it down the track.
