I joined a few months ago but given the knowledge of the forum members I didn't feel I had a lot to contribute, so I've primarily spent my time reading, learning, and lurking. I am amazed at some of the projects I have seen and the work that has been done! I'm out in the Springfield, MA area. No hot rod/street rod/kustom in the garage, but I have always deeply admired the art. I have the not-unique-for-this-site traditional trace elements of petroleum in my veins: father worked in the auto industry for most of his life; tagged along with my older brother when he went racing at the local dragstrip; worked as a parts man through high school and college; spent a lot of summers in New England running auto-Xes; still do most of the work on my own car; etc. I am particularly impressed with the art work that shows up on Friday Art Show. Some of the works are just outstanding so thanks to everyone who posts - - I admire the work, and it's also a well deserved kick in the pants for me to start creating again. Intentionally, art hasn't been a big part of my life for some time which, looking back too many years now, was a pretty damn stupid decision. I'll make it a goal to post some stuff in the next few weeks.
Let me be the first to welcome on the H.A.M.B message board. No more lurking, get out there and post something
Looks like you joined almost one year ago and used that time to learn how everything works. Welcome to the Hamb. HRP
Welcome... I also find little time for art, or so I say! My two biggest pieces are my 11yr. old son and my 14yr old daughter. I'll find time, but I hope to work an these art pieces for life!
