My 15 minutes of fame: Got my car in R&C

If you check the "Readers Rides" section of the Jan. 2011 Rod & Custom they used my lakes modified this month. Guess I just have to brag!

Congrats man nothing like getting something you built in a mag. I myself did the holy Sh#$ I'm in print when KIRK! honored me by putting my shop in the Nov issue of the Good guys Gazette. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing your car in a mag.

 

I read it from the back to the front. Your car was the first thing I saw. Nice car.

Gads... how could I have missed that! Your car has been one of my favorites since I joined the HAMB, with that cool engine and all. Wow, a full page! The pages must have been stuck together...

mine always seem to show up after i sell it.... congrats on the the magazine deal....that little ride is so *****in

 

...that looks like a fun little car to drive, how does it drive?..plenty of power?...how much does it weigh?

It weights right around 1500 lbs and it does get down the road pretty good. I would like to put in a lower ratio 5th gear as the step is just to big for the little banger. Because I run it pretty low the springs are stiff but it is still a blast to drive. I figure I have around 8-9000 miles on it and I enjoy it more all the time. And like most of us I am always doing something new, new seat design next, the bomber seat gets to me after about 150 miles!

A big thanks to all of you that commented on my little modified and my "luck" to get it in R&C.
