I am getting a 52 olds doner car I am using alot of the parts to customize my fleetline, bumpers front wheel arches headlights grill etc. I have some interest in the rear end, the thought has crossed my mind to redrill the axles and use it in my 51 fleetline.

Is this a direct bolt in?

Is this a decent rear end?

Does it use readily available brake parts, Bendix like my 51?

    Any comments appreciated.

Not sure if its a direct bolt in, the Olds has standard 2" leaf springs and a Chevy has 1.75" leafs. I have heard nothing but good about the rear end but have no personal say so yet. I am putting a 500 Cadi in front of mine so we will see. I was able to get wheel cylinders from Car Quest kind of pricey. Shoes are easy to come by too but the drums I have only found at Kanter and they are expensive! Thats all I know hope it helps!
