model T 2speed rear diff?

    hey guys iv got a question, i found a super rusted out 26/27 T coupe that has had the rear quarters tore up to put a wooden truck bed in the trunk area, in my eyes the body is too far gone to start with. but it has what appears to be a 2speed rear diff with a long actuator rod on its left side that runs front to back, parallel to the torque tube. are these axles rare? would it be worth dragging the car home just to get the rear diff to traid off to a resorer for something i would want?
     
  2. It is probably a Columbia 2 speed axle. There should be a small metal "Columbia" tag on the center section. Used in early Lincolns. Favored by early Hot Rodders. I have seen them sell from 750.00 to 2000.00.

    model t diffs were used on many early speedway cars instant take off the ruckstell was an xtra almost approved by Henry and thats saying something well worth the effort
