gasser newbie...

    been reading this board for a long time,decided to finally join,
    im 31 yrs old,disabled,living in upstate ny. been into cars as long as i can remember.
    my car is a 41 studebaker champion coupe 60's gasser style,drilled econoline straight axle,coil over rear w/36" ladder bars, it is a street/strip car. engine is a fairly mild 426 hemi, 10:1, stage v aluminum heads, 850 aed single 4 top an indy spider intake,.572 solid cam. manual valve body th400 w/ 9inch 4500 convertor,rear is 9" ford,full spool 35 spline w/4:56 gears. the car is moving more towards a full out drag car,been slowly making upgrades to improve the et. bests so far are:
    1/4- 11.51
    1/8- 7.23
    mph 116.57

    thats it for now,hope to make some new friends and enjoy bs'ing.

    Is this a newly done car or has it been a gasser forever? There was one these at the local track where I grew up in western Pa. that was around in the mid 60s. They didn't run it very much, and it dissappeared after a couple of years.

    unfortunately is a recreation,i wasnt even a thought in the 60's yet:) . i tried to model it after some originals,one which of where from pennsylvania,these look familiar? scotty

    Welcome aboard! Glad to see more gasser guys on here. If you have been watching the gasser posts on here, you may have seen the Falcon wagon I'm building. Won't be done for Lancaster '05, but will be there in '06! By the way, how many guys in the Gasser Gang ? How many cars? Are they all Willys & Anglia's? - F.F.:confused:

    Great pics of the other cars, but neither one ids the car I am talking about. Too bad I don't have any pics of it. Recreation or not, that is a cool car you have.

    Saw your Stude up close and personal like, when the Home Run was still in Collins's front yard. Ya, remember what year that was Scott? Anyway we talked Gassers for a while. Later I remember seeing a your Stude featured in Gasser Wars Magazine. Very Cool! Any way, welcome from another New Yorker.
