power steering pump question

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by MoparMan4GZUZ, Oct 31, 2010.

  1. can a power steering pump that was made for a steering box be connected to a rack and pinion without any problems? 1968 318 pump to a 1991 Dodge Dakota rack and pinion. I understand that I will need to have hoses made.

i know that if you run a chevy pump with the mustang rack you can buy a spring kit that brings the pressure down. not sure about mopar though.the spring is on the pump fitting, pres side.
