Had a good time at Garlits yesterday... here are a few pix of rides I liked. Most had glossy paint. There were a few of the now expected "art" cars - beyond rat and pretty funny / creative. Is it just me, or are there a LOT more pickups around now?!?! I hope they (we) aren't the new flat black. The long flatbed pictured below had an outrageous, well designed frame and a lot of nice detail work. No doubt it will run serious fast. My 27 made it up and back with no problems, my first road trip past 20 miles. The morning run up 301 / I-75 from Tampa was great in the cool air and occasional foggy spots. Very light traffic. Opened the dump now and then to wake up the cows. Going home was more of a pain as I decided to skip the I-75 part, but the section of 301 I added turned out to be under construction for a few miles. Live n learn. Later, Gary
More trucks now?? YES many more and more being built now. Thanks for the pictures. Looks like they had a good turn out.
Gary - My favorite hot rod pic of your photos is the '31 Black Model A with patina, showing off a wicked 4-71 blown small block, Hurst cheaters and g***er spokes on the front! Damn that coupe was cool as hell! If you look at my thread that I started on today's Billet Proof Florida Drags, I showed the same pics of that coupe several times 'cause I couldn't get enough of that car!
Glad you liked the pix. Sorry I don't have any more of that car for you, but I'd guess you took enough of them yourself, eh? I will try to find your thread. Gary
it was a great show, I had a killer time! one of the best trips I've ever made..I'm starting to edit the footage I got right now and will be putting the DVD together around November/December
New guy here. Great show, attended in the spring. The man, always ready to answer questions. Haven't figured out posting yet, but have some more in my albums. Just an old country boy with a camera.
