Well . . . so is it just a blown head gasket . . . or are there more serious troubles? Replacing a gasket is standard Flathead Ford procedure --- cracked blocks, now that is a BAD day . . .
Welcome to ****sville! Population, you.... That hurts. Water in multiple bores, I hope it's just the gasket, but I got a gut feeling it's worse. I sure hope not thou.
Gasket looked great. Cleaned the block, threads, head, and threw another one on there. The return hose had came off and shot coolant up with the help of the fan and got ****ed into the intake. Started with cleaning everything out and ran into that when I went for a compression test when she wouldn't start. Honestly surprised it didn't bend a rod. Hoping water was coming through the bolts that p*** the water jackets. Set the back in, fired her up..so far so good. Going to let her cool down and tighten it all down again and see if any water shoots out when I bump it over.
I don't think I ever heard of a carb drinking the radiator like that. Hope that's all, no permanent damage. Fingers crossed!
