I attended the Goodguy's Southeastern Nats in Charlotte, NC yesterday and stopped by the Haneline booth to purchase a gauge panel. When I inquired about the 10% Alliance dicount, the rep said "I've never heard of H.A.M.B. or any discount". He called over another guy (who supposedly was "in charge" and will be representing Haneline at SEMA). Again, he had never heard of our group or any discount. The guy offered to ship the item for free since he didn't have it in stock (in liu of any other discount). Not such a big deal since he was going to do that for anything that they didn't have with them, anyway! I reluctantly handed them cash for the full, retail, $135 price of the panel and was told that it could take up to a couple of weeks to get the item since they were off to SEMA after Charlotte! Based on my experience, Haneline should be immediately removed from the list of Alliance vendors as they don't even know who we are! Jim
I suggest you send Ryan a PM. Probably just a break in communication on Haneline's end. Also, Ryan does a lot of work on the Alliance and getting us discounts. He likes to make sure everyone gets a fair deal.
Haneline was sold to Nordskog a couple of years ago when Jimmy Bible retired. He and former Haneline partner Tim Love are familiar with the HAMB, so it may be just that the new owners are not familiar with the HAMB and the Alliance vendor deal.
Those reps may be hired guns who just do shows for the company. Or that the guys who appear to have taken the line over last April don't know about the Alliance discount.
Haneline recently changed ownership to those fellas in GA. and that is why no idea. Before as menitoned above it was in Nordskogs hands as seemed a lil mis-managed. The guys that are at it now seem to be on their game from what I've seen so far.-Paul
Whats really ****py is these guys bought a company that makes traditional hot rod parts and they have NO CLUE about the HAMB!?!?!??! WTF? I would bet 80% of their customer base are members here.................
Friend of mine bought a set of Omega gauges for an as yet uncompleted '36 Dodge @ Moultrie a year or two ago. They look to be nice gauges, and I understood them to be made in USA down there in Omega, GA. I took a look back then@ the Omega web site and it was different than the one up now for Haneline, but it now shows Omega, GA as the home base for the whole conglomerate.
Yes, Docs acquired Haneline earlier this year, don't be too hard on them, good folks trying to sort out some of the mess from the aftermath Mark
I am in the process of changing transmissions in my -46 Ford cpe and have Hanelind Gauges in the dash. I contacted the new Hanelind USA for suggestions to adapt my new C4 ****** to the speedo. They were very knowledgable and prompt in responding to my questions even though they were in the middle of the Charlotte event, they sent me e-mails with suggestions that saved me money. I feel lack of knowledge about being listed as an Alliance member is due to the recent (April) change of hands of the business.
