After cuting, bending, welding, grinding and making every piece by hand we are getting closer to having the seven bikes each representing the Seven Deadly Sins ready for the Roundup. We picked up the first two frames this week after they were painted by Jeff Meyers at Premier Body and Paint in Arkansas City, KS. The gas tank was left at Dennis McPhails for his artwork and the rear fender is waiting for Blaine Scott to lay some striping.

Here is Anger(metal flake red) and Gluttony(metal flake orange)

    Dave must have been driving!!!

The trailer will soon have graphics all over it.

As for the other bikes, each Sin has its own artwork and color or metal flake paint. I'll post the progress as we get them.

Here's some of the deal on the bikes, kindof the 'story' on them.......I was tattooing Jason in Houston last year, we had been talking about doing something together for awhile and he had the idea of an 'artist' series of bikes....as the tattoo went on, we came up with a basic idea of a 'streetable' version of the 1/4 scorcher....we thought that one or two of the bikes would be a ***** number, seven sounded much kooler..... the lucky seven?, seven, seven, seven....hmmmm.....SEVEN DEADLY SINS!............so already the bikes had a 'theme'........ we wanted to stay as far away from the OCC type theme bikes as possible, but the bikes would still have something tying them together, because there are only seven of these gonna be made........so we got together in Austin, Myself, Jason, Jeff Myers, Blaine Scott, Sean from Fatlucky's and Marty, and had a jam session of ideas around a bunch of tubes roughly mocked together.......and that's where the ideas started to grow and grow......suddenly we realized that this wasn't going to be something we just threw together......Now I gotta tell you, I know just enough about motorcycles to be able to call myself stupid about them, but it was kindof kool being able to bring a 'car' and automotive design sense to the table....... everyone had ideas that made the cut, and everyone had ideas left on the editing room floor..... the room was void of any and all egos and the ideas just flowed.......out of this session the whole package of a seven sins bike evolved as well.......just like a music box set, we decided to include extras with the package....... each bike gets it's own helmet, color coordinated with the bike and pinstriped by Blaine, a sixties style upholstered show 'mat' in the shape of a coffin by Fatlucky's, and an original painting depicting each particular sin......Now, the bikes are an Artist series so we dicided to have a painting on the bikes themselves as well........but we didn't want the art to overpower the lines and looks of the bikes so they'll have a painting on top of the tanks, so as not to interupt the lines from the side view........the bikes are running S and S shovel reproductions with kickstarts and magnetos........nothing I do will not have whitewalls so we dicided on the double thin whites for the rear tires.........there are a butload of other options and additions...........logistics, engineering and schedules have all had there way with the project as well, but I don't think there were any actual disappointments, only improvements.......the time schedule factor:.........we had decided that the Roundup would be the natural setting for the unveiling of all seven bikes...... and that is still the goal........ we'll most likely make it.........but we're not going to sacrifice quality on these things for a schedule........the frames are a gawddamn work of art in themselves......... Myers really upped the quality level when he decided to mold all the welds and seams, way beyond anything I had hoped for............So, if we make it, we'll make it, if we don't , we STILL get to have at least a couple of them at the Roundup and we'll all have a hell of a lot of fun................by the way, another factor with getting these bikes done is that Jeff, Myself and Voodoo Jim are working day and night to have new HOTRODS done for the show, and Jason is secretly reworking the evil Ford coupe for a more streetable version that he can drag Congress with.......and let's face it kids, we all have real jobs to pay the dailies and families as well................I'll be the guy in Austin hanging out at my table next to the Flyrite booth, with a lot of Purple wearing brothers around and a big *** grin on my face....................where will YOU be?.......

I will be sleeping next to your booth's!!!! No... this whole thing started out really kool and I have met some of the nicest guys thru this deal, sean, jason, dave and marty. it has been stressfull this year but it is also very exciting being able to have been given the chance to work on some very kool iron. i am soo excited about the 3 of us building hot rods together, after our day gigs and then theres the time crunch on the sins bikes( which I'm on my way to paint the purple and the green one tonight) and the remodleing of the kitchen, and the wife needs... and the kids are flunking cause we are too damned busy to keep 'em fired up. But All in all this has been a great year, the mooneyes xmas party the chance to paint a really *****in car then build hot rods then bikes and now it's time to paint the galaxie for paso..oh how life gets so busy. Just get me thru may and then I can take a break. but you know I wouldn't trade it for anything I love my buddies, my family and my cars. So I better get off of here I have 2 sins to paint tonight and a new motor waiting for some color as well. oh yea ....voodoo i'm going wax your ***,hehe and dennis saw your T today and looks like your going to be the first one running !

**** yeah, these things are gonna spin some heads in the MC world. I only wish my boss would give me a raise so I could buy one...

It has a bunch of meanings on these bikes! From the beginnings to changes in progress to meeting the Round Up deadline.

Lot of cool hands working together. Glad to do what I can and I hope everyone enjoys these bikes as much as I have helping with them. Wish I had a bigger part, don't feel right being mentioned with the names above.

This is a good thing, and it was an awesome idea to involve Dennis McPhail. The chopper side needs more artists like him involved. Hell, EVERY side does...
