well excuse the **** out of me for having an opinion. if you're impressed by any ****weed that can scab two pieces of metal together, paint it black and rust and call it a "hotrod" then more power to ya. this "everybodies a winner" ******** is one of the things wrong with america these days. well built is well built and **** is ****.
i'd love to show you some of the stuff i've built. unfortunately i didn't take any pics of the hundreds of cars and bikes i've built over the last 30 years because i never thought i'd get into a ******* contest with a jesse james wanna be.
i guess the "politicly correct" thing to do around here these days is to ooh and ahh over anything that gets posted.
"**** craftsmanship, lets not hurt little johnnys feelings".
btw, imho, jj has turned out some beautiful vehicles over the years. this just ain't one of them.
if you like it, fine this is america. by the same token, i DON'T like it. get over it.

I couldn't agree with you more Sam.

At least the top of the grille doesn't sit above the cowl.

The anti-rake is about the only thing I don't like about the car.

Right on Hudson! Couldn't have said it better myself.

Windshield and all gl*** is called "polished wire gl***" ps (not legal) but to be period correct, should have used the "chicken wire" pattern............OLDBEET

Well, I like it, but just like the 54' they built, the proportions are a little off. (I HATE the gravel pan only /no front bumper on the 54'!). Something's funky around the grille area, and the stance is way off. BUT... I love the leather, the gl*** idea is so damn ghetto it's cool, and it seems a little more realistic of a build than the chevy was (how many months did it spend in paint, body, and upholstery?)
Uh... I think the car was built in five days... which, in my book... uh, kicks ***.
Sam.
I agree, I like the security gl*** as well. Definitely some things I would have done differently but then I did'nt build it. With most cars I look at it with the idea of what I like and don't like, then build what I like. Not everyone is going to like it. The fact that this was put together in 5 days is as Sam says" it kicks ***".

7. I don't like it either, but the frame is boxed. I learned on another scripted reality hot rod show that boxing your frame keeps you employed..er, I mean, safe.

8. Considering a "5 day build", I think that car rules... No matter who built it.

I have to agree with Sam on the stance though..

That bike... Well, I'm more into the old stuff, but I have to say... The only doo dad I can see is the air filter. For the rest it's simple, it sits nice and it hauls ***..!!!

I'd take both anytime!! :D:D:D

About the stance, it's an East Coast thing. Just like being channelled with out being chopped. Personally I like the *** end low, reverse rake as you call it. (Insert tongue in cheek) Who cares how they do it in California :) :) :)
Noone says any one has to like it or not, but I would bet the bank it is not a piece of sh*t and the craftmanship is top notch. I know I couldn't and haven't built better and I would love to have it in my garage.

I like it. Its better than anything I currently have. I dont like all the details (mostly those mentioned already), but, who would ever like EVERYTHING about a car someone else has built?

I believe that even though this will jack up the prices for old tin in general, its still a good thing for all old original cars as there is a definite finite amount of them originally produced.

I also think it will be good for the old tin in all the yards around here in the midwest, to get saved as the old collectors of the older salvage yards p*** away, and their children have the estate sale auction and CRUSH everything that doesnt sell.

My daughter is almost six now. I have persoanlly been to two different auctions in the past 15 years where at least 40 pre 1960's cars did NOT sell and were crushed! I would like there to be at least a little cool old tin for her (and god forbid, her future husband is she so chooses) to mess with. And not think that an 80s Mustang is Cool old tin!

Uhhh... Doug is a tattoo artist that builds cars in his two car garage, not really a fabrication/customizing guru... and I thought Paul mostly did bikes and seats... Hmmm maybe you got a chip on your shoulder?

Oh you do, you can't prove you did jack ****, which in my book measn you couldn't do any better in 5 days no matter how loud you cry. They did a fine job for what it is... as for the JJ wanna be comment, at least that was funny...

Don't blast me for asking this because I am not a big motor guy, the way I see it if it starts and drives it's a good motor. But then again every car I own has a hood and you don't see the motor. So here is the question what is wrong with the motor? And once again I am only asking because it looks like a neat motor. And was this supposed to be a period correct build? Just asking cause I don't know know the specifics behind this build idea, I mean at least they didn't take the thing and turn it into a mobile aluminum recycler or some crazy thing like they have done in the past on that show. And what ever happend to that show they had that was like a hotrod build off? Does anyone remember that one I think one of the H.A.M.B guys was on an episode that aired.

I like it. Wouldn't mind having it, I'd relocate that gas cap, and redo the rear wheel wells.

i do have a chip on my shoulder when a bunch of "i wanna play too" children try to school me in what it takes to make a good car. i was wearing levis and a ducktail and customizing cars before half these ****s were born.
and as for the pictures, i was doing my thing before digital cameras were invented and it was an expensive pain in the *** to take pictures. besides which who the **** takes pictures of their everyday lifestyle ???? i never dreamed that what me and my buddies were doing would become popular and i would have to prove to somebody that i'm not a liar you **** *** **** face mother****er.

all i said was i wasn't impressed by a certain car and some of you decided that was a "bad" thing and i needed spanked.
kiss my greasy mother****in ***

I like it..... He's trying to take that show in a different direction, our direction like he has always wanted.... But the downside to that is will our Kulture be comprimised.. Will we see Paris Hilton and Puffy in old school hot rod's??? That's my fear.... I dig JJ if I had the oppurtunity to shake his hand I wouldn't hesitate....

Love it or hate it, at least its better than a lot of stuff they do on the show.

The chopped/channeled Chevy, the belly tank racer, and now this rod, it seems like they are on the right track.

Go back to the MG fansite, or wherever it is your worship Jesse James these days.

And Sam...that's an East Coast rake, man! Nothing wrong with that. I'm stoked two of my ex-clubbers Ed and Doug got to take part in the show.

And, finally...lilbill...you're just a jack***. Shu the **** up. (advise from a pro)
