Wow, Scott - who had to drill all of the holes? Very impressive build. Thanks for the pictures.

Here's a Willys that a friend of mine built, then sold. He owned it in primer, the new owner painted it. I understand another guy owns it now.

My 32 5-window was probably originally built back in the late 40's to early 50's as a "East Coast Style" hot rod, which is basically a hot rod that looks like a altered gas coupe drag car.

Yeah,I'd have to say that piece of heavy metal qualifies. Anybody remember the guy a couple of years back that put a 440 in a 59 De Soto and started dragging it? Guy was running in the low 10's first time on the track, and that's pretty amazing for anybody who knows how heavy those thiings are One thing for certain, nobody can ever accuse that guy of doing things the easy way.

  18. I've been trying to get $400 out of this willys but no dice so-far. Soooo, I guess this is my gasser project. Has tubular front axle and a 60's pontiac rear axle. Got a dual quad Pontiac 389 [+0.030] and a muncie 4 speed for it but it doesn't go with it if it sells..

Does anyone have any new gassers going togather that will be out this spring.

  22. A friend of my bought this car 2002-2003 in Phoenix, it was an old gasser butt he never get any history of the car. The straight axle was removed because the plans were to take the car to Sweden, no chance to drive it like that here. My friend shipped the car to Sweden and drove it a summer, he sold it and I don’t rely know where it is now. When I looked at the picks now I think it had been cool to restore it like a gasser, but I think it look good after my friends work.

  27. don't know if an old Mod /Prod 4 dr qualifies ,but I just bought this one for a cruiser this summer - 3:90 or deeper posi ,at 55-60 its runs 3 grand on the tach , speedo is about 20 MPH off reading 80mph , '72 400 4bolt mains, T400 , drive shaft hoop , traction bars , I ran against this car back in '74 fast for what we consideed a rolling brick back then , the 283 Hilborn short tube fulie is long gone :(,it was quite the sleeper back then, Its getting those five spokes from Tank + a bunch of go fast stuff I have around here like the Hurst cheaters and all kinds of sbc speed internals and externals from the cam to roller rockers to Edelbrock RPM to 750 holley to some kind of headers (thinking shorties, to keep it simple) w 2 1/2 " exaust w a balanace tube, course the cheaters are a dead give a way :D
