Has anyone ever had wheels made at the Wheelsmith in Santa Ana? How much did it cost? I might get some wheels made from there because I cant find ANY 15x6 6-lug wheels with 0 offset. Thanks....

Did you get anything made there?

  4. I have had two custom made sets and a pair for my slicks. Had them powdered coated. Nice guy to deal with. Got what I asked for in a timely manner.

I had Wheelsmith build a pair of steel 15x8" with the backspace I needed. They were reasonable priced and turn around was good. I later learned there is a guy on the HAMB that builds wheels too. Try a search for wheel builder or wheel building.

Bob and his son Chris (owners of WheelSmith) are great guys and build great wheels.

They have built the wheels for a lot of my cars. Excellent!

they did a great job on the wheels for my truck, and I'm getting ready to order some for my roadster. Good people to deal with. By the way , they've recently re-located to Carona CA. The phone number is probably the same.

I had a set of wires made last winter. Both Bob and Chris are very knowledgeable and great to deal with. The wheels are very nice. The only issue I had is that I have to run tubes as I just can't get them to seal. Talked to both Bob and Chris about it and they would really like me to return them so they can reseal them. We never did discuss who would pay the shipping it's about $300 shipping from here(each way) and I am not willing to pay another $600 and I don't expect them to either so I guess i will just have to run tubes.

Break the bead off one side and paint the center (weld area) with brush on epoxy bathtub paint - two coats and you'll be good to go. I've done this on magnesium, aluminum and steel OEM riveted wheels.

They made the wheels for my 3 window and I had them do the powder painting. The Black looks like it was hand rubbed. Great quality and great people. Oh Ya also timely delivery.
