i was thinking of doing some tig welding lessons, didnt know who might be intrested, or even cared, it would be in the DFW area, one night a week for about 6 weeks, i know when i first satarted i couldnt find any place that gave lessons, they had a tig welder in shop class(high school), but all we learned was the big switch turned it on, and we were not allowed to touch it, anyways, lessons will only be offered to hambers, and will cover steel and aluminum, a long with propper set up and procedures to tig weld, and a ton of hands on, tell me what you think murdock johnny@zeromotorsport.com
yeah - you guys could make zoomies for your first project I'll send you some dimensions - Just kidding really - that is a cool idea - I wish I was closer too
Maybe put "Texas" in your thread title. Cause you got me all excited til I got to the part about DFW.
I'm way down by Austin, but I'd be interested if its on the the weekends. Shoot me a PM with the details. Drew
Reddog, you are a stud! What a cool thing to do...If I lived around there, I'd sure do it - I'm self taught, and sure could use some pointers...You Texans are lucky dogs.......
how advanced are you going? I think I got the basics down now, and I'm getting pretty good with all of these welding all nighters I'm pulling... but I might be interested.
He is no rookie, I can speak for that. I have seen his race car frames. REDDOG, might have to take you up on your offer. Sorry I did not get back with you this past weekend. The pitbull was having problem sat the vet.
it will probably start some time in march, i have two race cars to finish now, as soon as they are done, i think sunday will work best for every one, and it will probably start after noon and go as long as you want to hang out, ive got two welders im going to set up and im getting some littature(spelling) together that will be a good guide to keep in the ol tool box, i want this class to go for about 6 weeks, and i want to limit it to 10 people, if i have more than 10, i will add another day, im not sure on a price yet, im not doing it to get rich, so you guys tell me what you think is fair on a price???, i was thinking around $40 per session, but i would like to here what you guys think, so please respond you will need to bring your own welding hood, and a nice pair of leather gloves and a long sleeve work shirt is suggested johnny murdock www.zeromotorsports.com
