Well, You could drive out the 60 up Box Springs and see where the raceway WAS. Then you drive up Etiwanda to Foothill and see where Fontana Drag City WAS. We still have a couple of working drive ins though. Palm Springs is an hour away as is the beach and El Mirage. Slight problem with El Mirage. Theres water on the lakebed and its closed to visitors. As mentioned there is the March Field museum and Chino airport. Both well worth a visit. We have a raceway museum but right now the address escapes me.

Depending on the dates you will be visiting. John Force has car show at his museum in Corona. Also the NHRA Musuem in Pomona. Ontario has a cool aircraft surplus place called G&J off of Sultana and Holt Blvd. The Pomona swap meet is Dec 5 at Pomona also. It has been 100 degrees the past couple of days, You may get some nice weather!

Whatever you do, make sure you stop here.

  9. The only thing I can think of is the Long Beach swap meet
, www.toppingevents.com, (800) 762-9785. Not a large event but the only thing going.

theres the hot rod hall of fame, def worth a stop, if you want to see some shops theres so-cal, mooneyes, foose's shop is open to the public 12-1 during the week. but thats all in long beach, Huntington area. if you get over to pomona def hit the early ford store, course that might be just as bad as the swap meet :D:D:D

if you get out to long beach def hit the queen mary, its just an amazingly beautiful ship, an if you get over in the pasadena area check out Art Center College of Design. early december would be just before finals so there would be a lot of cool stuff to look at
