Hot Rods 999 WHAT-SO, someone bought it?

Yeah some one bought it and it is ME!!!!!!!
Yaaaaahooooo...i have wanted that car for 4 years.
Cleaned out the garage of all my junk.Made a nice clean spot for it.
For those who dont know the car you must be new so i posted a pic of it...
I would like to thank Clark and his chronies for agreeing to sell it, as hard as it must have been......
I cant wait to get it here to sunny Florida.....Thank you Clark and the guys...

Well it will be a good ride when you bring it back to the jalopyshowdown in the spring that car was made for latimore raceway. It will be missed

 

It was tough letting go of 999 but it went to a good home. selling it buys me time to finish that suburban project I've been on for too long now and hopefully my 34 right after detroit. If I don't have the time for my 34, I'll try to throw another modified together quick. It's gonna be tough to build something cooler than 999.

congrats, ive always liked that car and its great to see it stayin in the hamb family.

 

Did he leave any of the Northern mud on it? If so you might want to leave it for a few days before you try to wash it off. It's probably 90w mud and a few days in the Florida sunshine should get it to 20-30w...................much easier to wash off. Congrats on the purchase, you now have a HAMB icon.

I'm actually alittle upset. The Jalopy Showdown is NOT going to be the same without it.

Squigy, you really need to bring the car back up in May for the event.......and give all the girls rides like the So-What boys did.....then I might feel better about the sale

Kool ride your going to love it and yes the best advice I ever got was when I gave an old roadster guy a ride in mine (dammit it's a hot rod drive it like a hot rod)!

A few construction shots. IIRC I had back spasms that weekend. I never got to drive it but it has provided a lot of muddy grins over the years. It will be missed but you can bring it back up in May. I think these were taken 2 weeks prior to it's debut at the showdown. This was a fun Saturday for me.

 

Congratulations!!! Florida is a great place for roadsters.

no it didnt happen on my end.
the shipping was quite a bit to get here to fla.
Royalshifter was incredibly gracious to offer it up i tried hard to get it but never happened.
Again it was my fault.
