conroe swapmeet ???

There two this weekend. One at the original site in montgomery co. and the original that has been moved to the sam houston dog track?

Both on the same day. any thoughts on either of the two, PRO's or CON's

 

We're heading to the Sam Houston.

Neighbor told me the one in Conroe has turned into a big *** flea market just like the ones along 105.

 

I'm going to the one in Conroe. I went to the raceway one last time. They are both pretty good. I always end up with a handful or **** my wife asks me why I bought it.

 

Makes sense as the "original" Conroe meet has been moved to the dog track....

 

Don't forget about the Decatur swap February 25th-27th.

 

my father in-law lives out there in Humble, now i know when i come out to visit theres some gear heads out there i can talk too. good stuff guys

 

I just wanted to let everyone know The swap meet is at the horsetrack not the dog track. That would be a very time consuming mistake. Sam houston raceway is on the beltway between 290 and 45. The dog track is over by clear lake.

Jabber's right, don't make the mistake of going to the dog track. The Conroe swap meet at the fair grounds should be pretty good and is a must see for Saturday. Then go check out the one at the horse track on Sunday.

 

I'll be at the Horse Track swap meet with a box van full of stuff to sell. Model A body parts and patch panels, pre war drivetrain, 16 inch wheels, and boxes and boxes of who knows what.

 

Met Modernbeat at the horse track. bought a couple of things. Nothing to write home about. I'll be at Conroe tomorrow....

Thanks to smittyshotrods I had an enjoyable morning walking the swap meet at the fairgrounds. Thanks Allen for hanging out with us today. Then I met my daughter gave my grandson back to her, went to the hores track, got there about 3PM, was all over, wasted trip. Should have went to the horse track this morning fairground this afternoon was told most everyone left after about 1 PM.

 

I heard Decatur was cancelled. Any truth to that rumor?
Also not on most of the lists is the Lewis meet at the First Monday grounds in Canton coming up in March. They have about 3 a year. Not real big but usually takes me at least 2-3 hours to go through. Not to be confused with Bob's held on the same grounds, his isn't worth going to. Last time they had them both at the same time.

Went to the Horse track at 8am Saturday with my 10 yr old son. At 9am we were walking to the parking lot.

We headed straight to Conroe. Conroe was much much better.

The boy is officially fired up about Hot Rods.

 

NO, This is our 30th year for the Decatur Swap Meet. It starts this weekend Feb. 24~27 we have added a few more spaces over last year.

Parking is run by two different group and we have not control over parking.
