    Like most of us here on the HAMB, I’m always on the look out for anything I can share on the board. I flew from So Cal last week out to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">New Hampshire</st1:place></st1:State>. My little brother plays for <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Dartmouth</st1:place></st1:City> football, so I decided to go see him and spend some time out there.
    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p> </o:p>
    Half my family lives in <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Connecticut</st1:place></st1:State>, so I figured I would stop by and see them. It’s been nearly 20 years. When I got there my uncle asked me if I knew he bought a 49 Ford. I said I did not, and the car and story are worthy of being on here.

    In 1949, Mrs. Heinrich traded her 1939 Chevy panel truck for this beautiful brand new Ford. It was fairly rare that a woman at the time would purchase the car, and for the $1700 price tag. Most people had an annual salary of $2200 in the town at the time.
    <o:p> </o:p>
    She always stored it in a garage, and rarely drove it. She p***ed in 1983 when her son, a retired priest, inherited the car, only to store it until 9 years ago. My uncle Joe told me that as a kid, he always wanted that car. He inquired on it to find it was for sale, and he had to have it.
    <o:p> </o:p>
    He has stored it ever since, and takes it out on occasion. He has 6 other projects, and this one is one that won’t be touched.
    <o:p> </o:p>
    He removed the ORIGINAL tires, but still has them, along with every piece of paper for the car, including all registration slips, manuals, and bill of sale. It runs like a champ, and in 61 years it only has 37k on the odometer. Enjoy.
