So I've had this sign since I was a kid, got it from my grandfathers garage. It was wrapped in the original wax paper when I got it. I know some of these signs can be valuable. Anyone know what this particular one is worth?
Probably not worh the cost of shipping to Kentucky but I'll go ahead and pay it..........................
I'd hang it up in the den just to keep a close eye on it.... That sign was probably printed??.... During the '30's er '40's......
Put a price on it and stick it in the Classifieds. if your PM box fills up, you have it priced right. If you hear crickets, it's priced too damn high. That's the way it works. Trolling for a free appraisal.
There is a repro of a sign very simlar to the one you have now on EBay, buy it now price is $200 bucks. http://cgi.ebay.com/OLD-STYLE-CHAMP...586?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb1380aa2 Same sign available here for $50: http://www.fill-er-up.com/vintage-garage-service-signs.php Of course these are repro's. Yours is priceless though if it came from you grandfather. Hang on to it, you'll think of him every time you see it!
Yeah, most likely wont sell it anyway, I was just curious what it was worth. Probably will end up in the garage above the Buick
I would keep it,sounds like a nice story ,I see repop ones like that go for 199.00.so if its original?
