Here are a few pics of mine. The 34 has a hemi, but you can get the idea of placement.

great looking '35 cabin! thanks for the pics!

over the supports would't be accepted for road use i think..
(even though the support just fine) it would have to be 'looking' original..

i do like the suspension a lot!

ahah, glad to hear that, after another look at the inside of the grill, the little bars aren't cut or changed, so it will be original I guess..

that's great news for the future fitting of the mudguards..

I've been working on the front axis lately, and started off sanding and grounding the wheeldrums etc..
hope to get some work done this weekend!

    cheers

allright! got a hold of the cups for the brakepistons, and a buddy's gonna bring me new centerpins (?) for the front wishbones. The holes for the spring are completely worn out..

furtheron I think I found a decent engine, a 100Pk Ford flathead.. pictures soon to follow!

been a while since I posted any updates upon here, but there's still good progress,
front axle is complete, chassis completely bare, and ready to work on, and I bought a 59 flathead year 1947. Took it apart and started to fix it.

    a few pictures:
it has sleeves in it, and adjustable solid lifters.. alas there's still the split valveguides inthere

anybody has a suggestion about replacementkits with horseshoe clips for these?

the cam is not marked on thetop, there is "H" and "21A" marked between the cams. I have no clue wether this is a stock Ford piece, or something exotic. Been looking around the net, but can't find more info on these marks.

I've been working on the cab also, straightened out a lot of the dents in the roof:

I was looking for some fenders, and tried a friends peugeotwings on it, but it was a no go
    [IMG]

building an English weel now, and about to ship polyester replicas of the original teared fenders from US to Belgium. Eventually, I plan to copy these reps in sheetmetal.. Gonna be a lot of work, but it shuld be metal..

the front just looks way better with the fenders on, and Belgian laws make driving fenderless quite impossible..

  22. Sam, that crack is not serious....hopefully it is the only one?
Those numbers don't mean anything for IDing your block. It appears to be a 59A type block, 46-48.
Valves, guides, lifters, etc are the same for all flatheads. New ones are pretty cheap.

Your build is looking good, keep up the good work!

figured out the valve replacement, only quest that remains is the camshaft and that "h 21 A" mark

and drilling that extra hole for 'full flow oilcirquit'

Oh, we're working on Dodges too! But these old Dodges are quite rare. I have seen a few though. Here is a picture of my '36 Dodge model LC, as I restored it, and now with the hemi. It's been 2 years since I pulled the flathead six out, the truck will be done this winter. And I agree with you, they look better with the fenders!

Good looking pickup!. I also agree, they look best with fenders.

By the way, anyone have grille surround stainless trim for 36-37 dodge?

wow! that Hemi looks great in that truck!

I've been looking around for fenders in any state lately, but it seems difficult to find somebody who will ship them overseas.. Finding them here in Europe is quite impossible..

but where is a will, there's a way let's say!

    thanks for the replies, cheers!

Thanks for the kind words! But Samster, I'm curious. Did Chrysler make & sell Dodges in Belgium in '36, or was yours shipped over there later?
